Everything we know about 3 women found dead over 3 days as police address serial killer concerns

Three women have been found dead in three separate incidents across Jacksonville, Florida.

Investigations have now been launched into all three tragedies, with two of the three women being publicly named, with all three women now at the center of homicide investigations.

Police have also addressed rumors which began to circulate about the possibility that a serial killer is ‘on the loose’.

In a statement on November 18, police confirmed that they are not treating the homicides as linked and that the rumors are false.

“JSO is aware of rumors circulating about a serial killer on the loose in Jacksonville. We can confirm these claims are FALSE,” the statement on Facebook read.

“Our detectives are investigating recent homicide cases that involve female victims, following the facts and evidence in each case. We will share updates as soon as we are able to, but we want to reassure the community there is no danger to the public related these incidents.”

Here is what we know about each of these separate cases.

Cherrish Nunley

Mom-of-two Cherrish was killed just weeks before her 25th birthday, and leaves behind a 5-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Cherrish was found unresponsive in a parking lot on Sunbeam Road just after 5pm on November 15, and was tragically declared dead at the scene.

A GoFundMe set up by her family said: “She was killed in cold blood. She never got into trouble. She was a bright, beautiful girl, a wonderful mom and aunt, the best sister, and a great daughter.”

The family also praised investigators, saying they are doing a ‘great job so far’.

Tiffany Felton

Tiffany’s body was found by a fisherman under a bridge at Blanding Boulevard on the Sunday.

It is understood that Tiffany’s death is being treated as a homicide by detectives investigating the case.

Local news reports said that Tiffany’s family described her as a ‘devoted mother’ and ‘hard worker’.

The father of Tiffany’s child told News4JAX that her sisters had been out looking for her after not hearing from her since earlier that day.

“I woke up to a call saying my son’s mom may be gone, I’m like this can’t be, it’s not right,” he said.

The third Case

Finally, on November 17, the body of a third woman was found unresponsive

Reports on the tragedy have said that they were alerted at around 1.10pm following a call about a possible stabbing on West 14th Street.

News reports have said that officers discovered the woman in a locked room, with no weapons found at the location.

The woman, in her 50s, has not been named publicly, with officials now working to establish the circumstances around her death.

Sgt. Highfill of Jackonville Sheriff’s Office said in a statement: “The circumstances surrounding the victim’s death are unknown at this time.”
