Super Bowl crowd goes wild as Bad Bunny brings out surprise guest

Super Bowl fans were given one hell of a treat during the halftime show as Bad Bunny brought out a surprise guest to perform with him in front of a capacity crowd at Levi’s Stadium.

Bad Bunny, also known as Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, stepped out onto the pitch for his performance and he was joined by some friends who helped him through the show.

One of those in particular drew a massive cheer from the stadium crowd as Lady Gaga showed up to sing and dance alongside him.

Viewers praised the show as ‘insanely good’ and when Lady Gaga was revealed, there was a hell of a reception for the singer, who had previously headlined the Super Bowl back in 2017.

We’re also pretty sure we saw Pedro Pascal dancing along, or someone who is fortunate enough to look very much like the much-loved movie star.

Those watching praised the ‘wild show’ and ‘wholesome’ sight of Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga dancing on the pitch as part of the halftime show.

By the way, the Puerto Rican singer isn’t getting paid for his performance because the headline artists don’t actually get a fee for their appearance.

This is one of those ‘pays in exposure’ jobs where that old chestnut might actually be applicable, as thousands of people in the stadium and millions elsewhere will be watching and that sheer volume of eyes and ears on you can only be good for your career.

The NFL will also foot the bill for putting the show on and cover other expenses, so Bad Bunny is very unlikely to be out of pocket for agreeing to do this show.

Lady Gaga’s past experiences at the Super Bowl include her singing the US national anthem during the 2016 edition, then being the headline act during the halftime show the following year where she performed without special guests.

She also sang ‘Hold My Hand’ at the pregame for last year’s Super Bowl, so this is something she’s no stranger to appearing in.

While the crowd were certainly appreciative, they definitely got a much better show watching the genuine article rather than tuning into Turning Point USA’s attempt to put on an ‘alternative’ event.

Those guys announced they wouldn’t be able to stream their show on X ‘due to licensing restrictions’, with them having to tell people to go over to YouTube if they wanted to watch their version of things.
