Amanda Bynes finally addresses viral video claiming Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider impregnated her at 13

Amanda Bynes has debunked a viral video claiming Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider impregnated her at 13.

Years after creating some of the shows that formed childhoods around the world, Schneider became the subject of a number of allegations in the 2024 Investigation Discovery series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.

The series featured interviews with cast and crew members who worked with Schneider in the late 90s and early 00s, with people recalling instances of alleged sexism, racism and inappropriate behavior with young cast members.

Schneider sat down to chat about the allegations last year with former iCarly cast member BooG!e, who played T-Bo on the Nickelodeon show, wasting no time in expressing his regret for some of his behavior in the past.

“Watching [the documentary] over the past two nights was very difficult, me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret,” Schneider said.

“I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”

Now, however, a video circulating on social media has claimed that The Amanda Show star Amanda Bynes posted a TikTok video in which she made serious allegations that Schneider assaulted her and impregnated her when she was 13.

But Bynes has since confirmed she did not make the allegations whatsoever and that they carry no substance.

Taking to her TikTok stories, the former actor said: “This account has been making ridiculous allegations and saying things that I would never say.”

Bynes went on to tell TMZ that someone with far too much time on their hands clipped together clips from her social media to make up ‘lies for clickbait’.

In the March 2024 interview, where Schneider defended himself, BooG!e pointed out that some of the jokes the writer penned in his shows are now being considered inappropriate for children, even though it was often children themselves delivering them.

Schneider insisted that ‘every one of those jokes was written for a kid audience because kids thought they were funny, and only funny’, though the producer said he wasn’t hesitant about cutting potentially inappropriate jokes out of old shows.

“Let’s cut those jokes out of the show, just like I would have done 20 years ago or 25 years ago” he said.

“I want my shows to be popular. I want everyone to like (the shows), the more people who liked the shows, the happier I am.

“So if there’s anything in a show that needs to be cut because it’s upsetting somebody, let’s cut it.”

In November 2024, a Californian judge ruled Schneider can proceed with a defamation claim against Warner Bros. Discovery and the producers on Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
