Belinda “Love” Rygier, a reality TV star from Australia who appeared on “The Bachelor Australia” in 2017, recently went viral after sharing her past experiences. Belinda confessed that she had slept with over 700 men, admitting that she struggled with a sex addiction.
Belinda revealed that during a certain period of her life, she would go out looking for sex up to six nights a week. This might sound surprising to some, but Belinda later realized she had a problem and decided to seek help. She joined a recovery program to address her addiction.
Talking openly about one’s sex life can be difficult, and many people might find it unusual to share the number of sexual partners they’ve had. However, for Belinda, discussing her past was an important step in overcoming her addiction. She shared that she had slept with at least 700 men, though she wasn’t sure of the exact number.
In an interview on the radio show “You’re a Grub Mate!” in 2022, Belinda shared that she had been in recovery for eight years. Additionally, she had been celibate for the past 15 months. Now, Belinda has turned her life around and works as a relationship guru, helping others with their own journeys.
Belinda “Love” Rygier, who first became famous on “The Bachelor Australia,” recently opened up about her past struggles with sex addiction. She explained, “I didn’t know I had a problem until I started to heal. My issue was with my relationships, and I kept attracting toxic men.”
As she began to recover, Belinda realized that unresolved trauma from her past was contributing to her addiction. “It ruled my life, but I was a functioning addict. I had a great career, and you wouldn’t know anything was wrong on the surface,” she said.
Belinda admitted to having an unusually high number of sexual partners, often going out up to six times a week to find someone to sleep with. Despite this, she emphasized that she’s “not ashamed” of her past.
For Belinda, the addiction wasn’t just about sex. “Men were very good at telling me what I wanted to hear. It was about feeling beautiful, validated, and loved rather than just having sex,” she explained.
Now, Belinda is focused on her recovery and is using her experiences to help others as a relationship guru.
These days Belinda is practicing celibacy, stating her belief that people today use sex for the “wrong reasons”.
“Society has declined and we’re using sex for the wrong reason – which is a quick validation or moment,” she said.
“I will be having sex again but with someone I have a connection with.”
