Whoopi Goldberg calls for invoking 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office

Whoopi Goldberg suggested forcibly removing President Trump from office over his “unhelpful” United Nations General Assembly speech — igniting a firestorm of backlash online.

The lefty co-host of “The View” declared that other world leaders are “really concerned for” the US under Trump’s leadership.

“He had a chance to deliver much more than what he did, and they don’t consider him to be serious anymore. I’m worried,” Goldberg said during Wednesday’s show.

The former actress then suggested invoking the 25th Amendment, which allows for the removal of a president who is deemed unable to fulfill the duties of the office.

“Well, they questioned Biden’s competence. If Biden had acted like this I would have said, ‘Yeah take him’ … This was not presidential and this was not helpful,” Goldberg said.

Some of the other “The View” hosts agreed with Goldberg, with Sonny Hostin accusing the president of lying to the UN General Assembly about ending seven wars across the globe in the hopes of winning a Nobel Peace Prize.

Critics were quick to retaliate on social media, many of whom stood in defense of Trump.

“She was curiously silent during the dementia years of 2021 – 2025” one user wrote.

“Why do we care what she has to say? Clearly she is unable to put reading and comprehension together in a cohesive way. The 25th amendment has nothing to do with disagreeing with the other party, and she had nothing to say about a mentally incapacitated Biden,” said another.

Trump delivered a fiery address to the UN on Tuesday, questioning the purpose of the international organization and ripping it for hiding behind “empty words” while underwriting “an assault on Western countries” through mass migration.

The atmosphere grew tense as Trump also declared, “your countries are going to hell.”

“It’s time to end the failed experiment of open borders. You have to end it now,” he went on.

The address, however, did get off to a wonky start when a teleprompter malfunction forced the president to ad-lib.

Trump made light of the situation, saying whoever was in charge of the teleprompter would be in “big trouble,” drawing laughs from the crowd — which Goldberg desperately tried to claim were made to ridicule him, not along with his jokes.

Multiple times throughout his speech, he complained about the tech failure and about an escalator that broke down just as he and First Lady Melania Trump stepped onto it.

“These are the two things I got from the United Nations: a bad escalator and a bad teleprompter,” he quipped at another point.
