Everyone has different habits when it comes to personal hygiene. Some people like to shower in the morning to start their day fresh, while others prefer to shower before bed so they feel clean at night.
Some people brush their teeth before eating, while others do it afterward for fresh breath. And don’t even get started on how often everyone shaves their legs!
Celebrities are no different when it comes to their grooming habits. One well-known star, Taylor Swift, has said that she doesn’t wash one specific part of her body when she showers.
Many Hollywood stars have unusual grooming routines, like James Corden, who has habits that experts don’t recommend, and Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, who have some controversial hygiene habits. Then there are Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, who have their own strange rules about washing.
Taylor Swift’s shower routine has sparked a lot of discussions among fans. Some people think it’s pretty gross, while others believe she has a valid reason for it.
This all began in 2019 during an interview on The Ellen Show, when host Ellen DeGeneres asked Taylor if she washes her legs in the shower. Taylor said she does, but only when she shaves her legs.
She explained, “I do, because when you shave your legs, the shaving cream is like soap, right?” Ellen agreed, saying that many women wash their legs mainly because they shave them.
Feeling relieved, Taylor responded, “So that counts? Good. I’m on the right side of history, then.”
Ellen then joked, “Unless you’re not shaving… then you’re not washing.”
Taylor replied, “No… I don’t think I would say that,” to which Ellen playfully noted, “It seems like you did just say it!”
Taylor Swift said, “But I kind of always shave my legs,” to which Ellen jokingly replied, “God, you must be hairy!”
Fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts. One user on X asked, “How do you not wash your legs in the shower??? Do you just stop after your butt?”
Another wrote, “Taylor Swift said she doesn’t wash her legs but she shaves them—girl, that’s not the same thing, what?”
Someone else commented, “I’m confused. Isn’t the shower supposed to be where you wash EVERYTHING?”
And one more user added, “What do you mean, does she wash her legs? Don’t you wash your legs when you shower? Washing your legs is part of showering, right?”
