Ozzy Osbourne was suffering from debilitating Parkinson’s disease, spinal injury in years leading up to his death

Ozzy Osbourne suffered from a myriad of health issues ahead of his death, from Parkinson’s disease to a spinal injury.

The Black Sabbath frontman died at age 76 on Tuesday, his family members revealed in an emotional statement.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his loved ones told Page Six, adding that the rocker was “with family” at the time.

Their heartbreak comes five years after Ozzy publicly revealed his stage 2 Parkinson’s battle on “Good Morning America.”

“I’m not dying from Parkinson’s,” he insisted. “I’ve been working with it most of my life.”

The Grammy winner’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, agreed in the January 2020 interview that the diagnosis was “not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination.”

She explained, “It does affect certain nerves in your body, and it’s like you have a good day, a good day and then a really bad day.”

At the time, the couple also addressed the nasty fall Ozzy suffered in his “pitch-black” bathroom the previous year.

In the “longest, most painful, miserable” period of his life, the singer had 15 screws put into his spine since he dislodged numerous metal rods in his body from a previous bike accident.

Ozzy went under the knife again in 2022 to have pins in his neck and back removed and realigned.

Sharon, 72, said on “The Talk” that the procedure was “really going to determine the rest of [her partner’s] life.”

Ozzy officially retired from touring the following year amid his health concerns.

However, he reunited with his band members for a farewell show earlier this month.

His daughter Kelly Osbourne got engaged to Slipknot’s Sid Wilson at the time.

The following week, Kelly clapped back at rumors her dad was “dying” and had a suicide pact with Sharon.

“Yes, his mobility is completely different than it used to be, but he’s not dying,” she claimed via Instagram Stories, going on to call the alleged pact “bulls–t [her] mom said to get attention one time.”

In addition to Sharon and Kelly, Ozzy is survived by his five other children: Elliot, Jessica, Louis, Aimee and Jack.
