Olympian Noah Lyles is engaged!
On Sunday, Oct. 13, the 27-year-old sprinter shared a sweet video on Instagram, announcing that he proposed to fellow Olympian Junelle Bromfield, 26, on Saturday.
In the video, which featured a cover of Bobby Caldwell’s song “What You Won’t Do for Love,” Lyles wrote, “To My Future Wife” and “I Will Love You Forever 💍.” The clip showed them walking hand-in-hand into a beautiful house filled with candles, flowers, and rose petals.
They walked into the backyard, where there was a big heart made of pink roses and a neon sign that said, “Will you marry me?” Junelle wore a sparkly silver dress and heels, while Noah looked sharp in a black suit with gold accents as their friends and family celebrated with them.
Junelle also shared the news on her Instagram, posting a video showing off her engagement ring with her friends, saying, “ENGAGED💍🥺.”

Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield first met on social media in 2017, but their first date didn’t go well, so they decided to just be friends. However, in 2022, after Noah won gold for Team USA in the men’s 100-meter final at the Paris Olympics on August 4, he asked Junelle out again, and they started dating. Since then, they’ve been inseparable.
In June 2024, Noah said on a podcast, “We’re going to grow old together, and it’s going to be forever.”
The couple went public with their relationship in December 2022. Junelle, who runs for Jamaica’s team and won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympics, joined Noah at the USATF Night of Legends celebration, where he won the Male Athlete of the Year Award. They both shared photos from their red carpet date night on social media the next day.
In August 2023, Junelle celebrated their first anniversary with a heartfelt Instagram post, saying, “Cheers to 7 years of friendship 🫂, 6 months of dating 🍽️, 1 year of being your partner 👩🏿❤️💋👨🏾, and to forever loving you ❤️🙏🏿.”
In a March interview on the Inside Track podcast, Noah Lyles talked about his close relationship with Junelle Bromfield, saying, “this is my best relationship ever.”
Junelle shared that she was drawn to Noah because of his honesty, saying, “When we became friends, I told him that I liked him because of [his] brutal honesty.”
Noah agreed, saying that feeling understood and accepted for being straightforward made him realize how special she was to him. “Hearing stuff like that made me think, ‘Oh my gosh, I need this woman in my life,’” he said.
He added, “I already liked you, but that made me sure that we’re going to grow old together, and it’s going to be forever. Hearing things like that makes me think she’d be the kind of woman I’d want to raise my kids with.”
