A mom of three is dead after she was shot outside a Georgia elementary school while delivering for DoorDash.

Eboni Anderson, 34, was delivering for DoorDash when she was shot and killed outside Palmetto Elementary School on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 11 Alive reported.

“This is a tragic situation and our thoughts are with the Dasher’s loved ones. Our team is urgently investigating and working with law enforcement to help their investigation in any way possible,” a DoorDash spokesperson said in a statement shared with PEOPLE.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, officers found Anderson’s body near the front of the school after responding to reports of gunfire, following the school’s “hard lockdown” that began shortly after 11. a.m.

The school community was notified of the incident after a school staff member pressed an emergency alert button, according to WSB-TV.

While no students or staff were injured, more than 550 children were relocated to Bear Creek Middle School for the day as a result of the incident, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.

The suspect, Christopher Loris Ates, 39, was captured after a high-speed chase that ended when he crashed on Highway 96 near the the county line between Houston County and Twiggs County, WJCL reported.

According to online records reviewed by PEOPLE, Ates was booked into the Houston County Jail on multiple charges, including reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, and second-degree cruelty to children.

WJCL reported that he also faces additional charges in Fulton County, where police said they were finalizing murder charges and seeking further warrants, per the outlet.

WSB-TV and WJCL reported that Palmetto Elementary principal Jacqueline Bowens said in a message to families, citing officials, that the shooting appeared to be a domestic dispute.

“While this is an incredibly difficult circumstance for our community, I want to reassure you that no Palmetto Elementary students or staff were involved, and at no time were individuals inside our building in danger,” Bowens wrote, the outlets reported.

According to Atlanta News First, Anderson is a mother to 8-year-old twins and an 18-month-old.

Fulton County Schools confirmed to 11 Alive that Anderson was a parent of students who attended a school in the county, but that the students did not attend Palmetto.

“She was a great mother. She loved her boys. She did everything she could for them,” Tariq Robinson, Anderson’s stepfather, told Atlanta News First.

In a GoFundMe created to help with Anderson’s funeral arrangements, she was remembered as a “beautiful, kind, and gentle soul.”

“Anyone who knew her knows the warmth and love she carried in her heart. We are heartbroken beyond words and are trying to process this unimaginable loss,” the GoFundMe added.

PEOPLE has reached out to the Warner Robins Police Department, Fulton County Schools and Palmetto Elementary School for comment.
