An Arizona man went missing in Utah nearly two years ago — and his car was just found submerged in the water with a body inside.
A joint statement released by Arizona’s Page Police Department and Utah’s Kane County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, Sept. 3, stated that a vehicle was pulled from Lake Powell over Labor Day weekend.
Upon their arrival, police were able to identify the vehicle — and said that records indicated it belongs to Dennis Keith Dillinger, a 54-year-old man who has been missing since Dec. 2023.

According to police, the last known sighting of Dillinger was at a Family Dollar Tree store in Kanab, Utah, on Dec. 1, 2023.
His vehicle was found by a group of individuals spending time at Lone Rock Beach within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, who then reported it to authorities.
When the car was extracted from the water on Sept. 3, authorities found there were human remains inside. The Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the identity of the remains and will investigate the cause of death.
The Kane County Sheriff’s Office is handling the death investigation, which remains ongoing.
“Kane County offers their gratitude to the National Park Service rangers, support staff and dive team from Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and the Page Arizona Police Department for the many hours of work on this case and assistance with recovery of the vehicle,” police wrote.
