Kseniya Alexandrova Dead: Russian Pageant Queen Dies at 30 Just 4 Months After Her Wedding

Kseniya Alexandrova, who was the first runner-up at the Miss Russia 2017 pageant and represented Russia at Miss Universe 2017, has died. She was 30.

Alexandrova was involved in a car accident in Tver Oblast, Russia, in July, Hola! reported via RG. She was in the passenger seat while her husband, Ilya, was driving. An elk ran into the road and crashed through the windshield, causing Alexandrova to sustain a head injury. Her husband reportedly was not injured.

Alexandrova was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Sklifosovsky Institute for Emergency Medicine, where she died on Tuesday, August 12.

Alexandrova’s modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, which she began working with at 19 years old, confirmed her death via a statement on social media.

“it is with deep sorrow that we announce that our colleague and friend, model Ksenia Alexandrova, passed away last night,” the post, which was translated from Russian, read. “Ksenia was bright, talented and extraordinarily bright. She knew how to inspire, support and give warmth to everyone around her. For us she will forever remain a symbol of beauty, kindness and inner strength.”

The statement continued, “We sincerely mourn and express our deepest condolences to her family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Ksenia. A bright memory…”

The Miss Universe Organization also shared a tribute to Alexandrova via Instagram, posting a compilation of the model’s pageant footage as she spoke about her hopes for the world.

In addition to her modeling and beauty pageant work, Alexandrova was a television host and psychologist. In 2016, she graduated from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with a degree in finance and credit. She later completed her studies at the High School of Cinema and Television “Ostankino” in 2020. Additionally, in 2022, Alexandrova graduated from Moscow Pedagogical State University with a degree in psychology, going on to become a psychodrama therapist.

Alexandrova’s death came just four months after she and her husband tied the knot on March 22. She shared photos from the special day via Instagram in April.

“I remember every second and it seems that I am still experiencing the whirlwind of emotions :),” the post, translated from Russian, read. “There was so much love, joy and sincere feelings on this day that the heart is still full of them. Thanks to everyone who was with us – it’s priceless! 🙏🏻.”
