Jason Aldean and Wife Brittany Release First-Ever Duet ‘Easier Gone’ — Listen!

Over a decade of marriage later, Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany have finally joined forces for a duet.

On Friday, Jan. 9, the country music star released three new songs from his forthcoming album, including the collaboration titled “Easier Gone.”

On the country ballad, Jason describes an unexpected run-in with an ex at a bar and the spiral he experiences, wishing he’d never seen her in the first place.

“I wish I didn’t know your name / Wish you were just another stranger / So you walkin’ in this bar wouldn’t put my broken heart in danger,” Jason, 48, sings in the first verse.

In the chorus, which they sing together, the couple sings about unresolved feelings.

“You were easier gone / You were easier outta this town / Hey, I almost had this lettin’ you go thing figured out,” they sing. “Yeah, it was easy to lie / To myself on a Friday night / When I wasn’t face to face with how good you look movin’ on / Yeah, you were easier gone.”

Though “Easier Gone” marks their first collaboration, Brittany, 37, was an aspiring singer before she met Jason. In 2012, she appeared on season 11 of American Idol and made it to Hollywood Week before she was cut.

After the song’s release, Jason shared photos in the studio with his wife on Instagram.

He captioned the post, “You guys have been asking for a duet for a while, and it’s finally here. ‘Easier Gone’ with @brittanyaldean+ two more new songs are out now. Listen wherever you get your music!”

Two days prior, the “Night Train” singer shared a video with his wife on Instagram, teasing the song’s release.

“We might have something special for you,” she said in the video. “Cheers to the new year.”

In addition to “Easier Gone,” Aldean released “What’s a Little Heartache” and “Her Favorite Color.” All three songs will be featured on his forthcoming album Songs About Us on April 24.

In September, the couple shared a video on Instagram performing Luke Bryan‘s “Drink a Beer” after Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

“For Charlie ♥️,” Brittany captioned the post.

That same month, Brittany went on her Instagram Stories to reflect on the day she married Jason — and how she adjusted to the spotlight.

“I feel like I am pretty resilient, so it didn’t take me long. I always kind of had it,” she said on her Instagram Stories. “But I will say nothing really truly prepares you to get married to someone who is in the limelight, like it’s not something that you get used to easily, especially when it comes with a lot of people’s outside opinions.”

Brittany and Jason share two children — son Memphis, 8, and daughter Navy, 6 — and Brittany is stepmother to Keeley, 22, and Kendyl, 18, whom Jason shares with ex-wife Jessica Ussery.
