Heartbroken Sarah Paulson cries outside friend Diane Keaton’s home after shock death at 79

Diane Keaton’s friend Sarah Paulson was seen crying as she left the late actress’ Los Angeles home on Saturday — hours after it was confirmed the “Family Stone” star passed away at the age of 79.

The “American Horror Story” actress, 50, appeared distraught during the visit and at another point was seen hugging a person outside.

Paulson was later seen sitting inside a black vehicle and driving down the street after leaving Keaton’s home.

Other people, including a woman in a striped outfit, were also seen gathering at the actress’ residence.

The “Ratched” star and Keaton were friends for many years.

In July 2021, they were pictured grabbing dinner with Paulson’s longtime partner, Holland Taylor, in Beverly Hills, Calif. Later that year, the trio also stopped by Il Piccolino restaurant in West Hollywood.

During a June 2021 chat with Interview Magazine, Keaton answered questions from famous friends like Paulson.

“What person, place, or thing makes your heart sing? (You can say me),” Paulson jokingly said, to which Keaton responded, “Of course, Sarah, you make my heart sing. My friends make my heart sing. My kids make my heart sing. But also, Lillet Blanc makes my heart sing. With lots of ice.”

Since the news of her death came to light, a number of celebrities have posted emotional tributes to the legendary actress.

Keaton’s “Father of the Bride” co-star Steve Martin shared a black and white photo of the actress on X, simply writing, “Loved.” He then added, “La dee da,la dee da,” which is a famous line from her 1977 film “Annie Hall.”

Mandy Moore also remembered Keaton — 18 years after they worked together on the 2007 romantic comedy film “Because I Said So.”

“They say don’t meet your heroes but I got to work with one of mine and even call her “mom” for a few months. An honor of a lifetime,” she wrote alongside a photo of them in the movie.

“What an incandescent human Di is and was. I am so sad she’s gone for all the reasons but also because it felt like she’d be here forever, dazzling us with her talent and charm (and her style, c’mon)!!! One of the very best to ever do it. All my love to her children and loved ones.”

Other stars like Bette Midler, Rosie O’Donnell and Goldie Hawn also reacted with heartfelt messages.

Keaton never married, but she famously dated Al Pacino, Woody Allen and Warren Beatty. She became a single mom in her 50s after adopting two children, daughter Dexter in 1996 and son Duke in 2001.
