The FBI has released photographs of a ‘person of interest’ in Charlie Kirk’s assassination as they ask for the public’s help identifying them.
Conservative firebrand Kirk was killed by a single bullet to the neck as he engaged with students at Utah Valley University on Wednesday afternoon.
As the manhunt for his killer continues for a second day, the FBI in Salt Lake City released photographs of a man wearing all black who they want to identify.
The ‘person of interest’ is of slim build, and he is shown in the images wearing a snapback with sunglasses, long pants, and a long-sleeved top.
His long-sleeved top appears to bear a patriotic logo of the bald eagle flying across an American flag, reading ‘Land of the Free… Home of the Brave’. Daily Mail found the shirt is sold for as little as $6.75 on Ebay.
Little is known about the suspect. Utah DPS Commissioner Beau Mason said they ‘appear to be of college age’.
Mason said the gunman ‘blended in well with the college institution’ before adding: ‘We’re not releasing many details right now. We will soon. But right now, we’re not.’
The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of whoever is responsible for Kirk’s death. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Two men were briefly taken into custody after the shooting, but investigators later confirmed they were not suspects and released them.
Officials said they had made ‘a few breakthroughs’ in the probe, including the discovery of a high-powered bolt-action hunting rifle in a wooded area close to the crime scene.
Investigators also recovered bullets inside the rifle which had been ‘engraved with transgender and antifascist ideology’, according to a memo seen by the Wall Street Journal.
The WSJ said the revelation came in a notice sent to the Bureau, Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents.
Sources told the outlet that the weapon was wrapped up in a towel, with a spent cartridge in the chamber.
Another three unspent rounds were discovered in the magazine, all of which contained messages on them. The exact words used have not been disclosed.
CNN sparked anger among Americans for avoiding reference to the ‘transgender messages’ in their reporting of the finding, instead calling the engravings ‘a range of phrases related to cultural issues’.
People on social media have blasted the left-wing outlet’s reporting as ‘shameless’ and ‘dangerous’ while accusing them of ‘gaslighting’ the public.
Father-of-two Kirk was killed by a single gunshot wound to the neck on Wednesday afternoon, police confirmed.
He was sitting beneath a tent speaking to students when a gunman opened fire from a roof around 200 yards away.
The Daily Mail obtained videos which were too graphic too publish of the commentator being gunned down.
Horrified spectators gasped and screamed, before most people scrambled to run away from the crime scene.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika Kirk (nee Frantzve), and their three-year-old daughter and 16-month-old son.
He quickly ascended in conservative circles after co-founding the right-wing youth organization Turning Point USA in 2012 with marketing entrepreneur and Tea Party activist Bill Montgomery.
Vice President JD Vance described Kirk as a ‘true friend’ and a ‘great family man’ in a post saluting him on X.
President Donald Trump went on to announce Kirk’s death on his social media site, Truth Social.
‘The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie,’ Trump wrote.
‘He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife, Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!’
Trump later addressed the nation in a somber speech delivered from the Oval Office.
‘To my great fellow Americans, I am filled with grief and anger at the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk on a college campus in Utah. Charlie inspired millions and tonight, all who knew him and loved him are united in shock and horror,’ Trump said.
