Charlie Sheen Claims Bill Clinton Tried to Hit on His Girlfriend in the ’80s: ‘Nobody Believed Me’

In his new memoir, Sheen alleges that Clinton once asked an aide for more information about the actor’s then-girlfriend, Dolly Fox

Charlie Sheen is opening up about the time he crossed paths with Bill Clinton.

The actor, 60, recently chronicled his life and career in his memoir, The Book of Sheenwhich debuted on Sept. 9Among the many star-studded anecdotes in his book, Sheen alleged that Clinton once tried to make a move on his then-girlfriend, Dolly Fox.

While Sheen was staying in Arkansas to film the 1987 movie Three for the Road, Clinton invited the actor and his co-stars Alan Ruck and Kerri Green to a photo op at his home. At the time, Clinton was the governor of Arkansas.

Receiving the invite was “pretty surreal,” Sheen recalled in the book, and he decided to bring Fox along.

Sheen claimed, “I was answering a reporter’s question when Ruck overheard Clinton whisper to one of his aides, ‘Find out what you can about the brunette.’ The brunette was Dolly, and to this day Alan swears it was an exact quote.”

“I felt bad for Dolly to be objectified and skeeved-out like that, but still had to take some pride in ‘Bubba’ fancying my gal,” Sheen added of the alleged incident. “Alan gave Dolly the rundown in the bar later on that same night. To her credit, she laughed and was actually flattered.”

Sheen remarked in his book that the “behavior that transformed a harmless intern a few years later into a household name” — referencing Clinton’s notorious sex scandal with White House intern Monica Lewinsky — appeared to begin before Clinton’s presidency.

Years later, Sheen watched Clinton’s 1999 impeachment hearing, which centered around the Lewinsky scandal, while he was in rehab. He said that the impeachment drama inspired him to tell his fellow patients the story about his visit to Clinton’s home.

“I was still pretty faded on detox meds and no one believed me,” Sheen wrote. “I literally said out loud to the group huddled around the TV, ‘It’s kool, I’ll put it in a book one day and you can all go f— yourselves.’ (And here we are).”

Sheen’s memoir also features mentions of stars like Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Andrew McCarthy and even O.J. Simpson. Throughout The Book of Sheen, the actor recalls moments from his long career, his sobriety journey and his dating life, among other personal glimpses.
