A 13-year-old boy has been charged with murder over the death of his 11-year-old friend, who was shot at a home in New York’s Hudson Valley, police announced on Friday.
The young teen was arrested and faces second-degree murder charges following the 11-year-old’s death in Newburgh on Thursday morning, WABC reported, citing police.
Officials said the boy shot and killed his friend, despite initial reports that the victim accidentally shot himself while playing with the gun.
