Mom Wakes To Find Toddler Used Her ‘Lotion’ Overnight—Can’t Cope With Scene

West Virginia mom couldn’t cope at the state she found her toddler in during the middle of the night.

Ashtyn Noelle (@ashtynnoelle19) posted a gallery of images on TikTok revealing the aftermath of what happened when her daughter mistook beard dye for lotion and helped herself overnight. The post shows a box of men’s Mustache & Beard dye (in “Dark Brown”); it is a product that promises a “thicker, fuller look” and claims that up to 80 per cent of users achieve thicker beards with its keratin formula.

But Ashtyn Noelle likely wasn’t expecting the product to make its mark, especially on her child’s cheeks.

The dye, typically brushed onto facial hair in “3 easy steps,” was instead applied by tiny fingers with little regard for instructions—or permanence.

Captured with the camera flash on, Ashtyn Noelle’s daughter was tucked up in bed with a very dark-streaked face. Her arms and chest also seemed to be covered with the dye.

The text overlay read: “POV [point of view] your toddler wakes up in the middle of the night and helps herself into your ‘lotion.'”

Ashtyn Noelle captioned the post simply: “The jump scare was intense.”

The post has been viewed more than 2.3 million times and received over 110,000 likes. Viewers were in stitches over the toddler’s resourcefulness and the surreal result.

Comments flooded in, with many joking that the toddler looked like she had been working on a car as a mechanic or even a chimney sweep.

“Was the lotion coal dust?” one user asked.

“Does she do oil changes too?” another posted. Some offered ways to erase the dye, such as micellar water.

Other moms on TikTok shared stories of their toddlers landing in trouble after stealing their parents’ personal items.

“When my daughter was three, she covered her arms and legs with black markers and mascara. She said she wanted to feel what it was like to be a dog. Then she proceeded to go to the front yard … She took her role very seriously,” a third user said.

It is likely that Ashtyn Noelle will be hiding all “lotions” out of reach from now on. Newsweek has tried to contact the poster via TikTok.

Let this be a public service announcement to all parents: if it comes in a tube and lives in the bathroom, assume your toddler will find it—and wear it.
