Khloé Kardashian got a little defensive after her ex pointed out that their daughter’s shorts were a little short.
On the latest episode of her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, the Good American co-founder, 41, opened up about co-parenting her kids — daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 2 — with ex Tristan Thompson. During the episode, Kardashian spoke about whether or not she and Thompson, 34, would introduce a significant other to their kids.
While she admitted that there’s an “emotional balance” she’d have to be aware of, Kardashian explained that there are moments where she and Tristan do not always get along when co-parenting. “Like which Tristan’s not wrong, but he’s like, don’t you think those shorts are too short on her?” she said.

“And I’m like, you want to almost be like, ‘Yeah, she’s my kid,’ but it’s our kid. But you just want to have that ownership,” Kardashian continued. “But I’m like, ‘Yes, they’re short, but we’re just hanging out at the house pool,’ because I will send pictures to him or whatever.”
“You still want to let your co-parent be the parent as much as they want to. And you also have to give them grace, give yourself grace,” she said.

Kardashian went on to say that sometimes she has to take a breath and remember that Thompson is just doing what he thinks is right.
“Yes, the shorts are short, but we’re at home lounging. So let me explain the context of those photos,” she said. “So sometimes I do get defensive internally and I have to remind myself, no, this is good.”
She added, “And that is an emotional battle I have between myself. I can’t be like, ‘No, this is my kid.’ I have to allow Tristan to be the dad too.”
