Diddy’s dramatic weight loss in jail has been proven false. His lawyer says the biggest challenge he’s facing isn’t his weight, but dealing with the emotional and mental stress of being locked up.

Reports that Diddy lost a lot of weight in jail are not true, but his lawyer shared that one of his biggest challenges is dealing with life behind bars.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn while he waits for his trial on racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Federal authorities have hinted that more charges could be coming as a grand jury continues to hear from witnesses and review evidence.

This week, Diddy appeared in court for the third time, and some people thought he looked thinner than usual. This led to rumors that he may have lost a lot of weight since his arrest in September. A courtroom sketch showed him in chains and an orange jumpsuit sitting with his lawyers, and even in the drawing, he appeared a bit slimmer.

Soon after Diddy was jailed, there were rumors that he wasn’t eating because he was afraid of being poisoned. Some reports said he was worried about ending up like Jeffrey Epstein since he’s being held at the same facility. However, his lawyers denied this, saying Diddy is eating well and focusing on preparing his defense for the charges against him.

Diddy’s team is pushing back against the rumors about his weight loss. TMZ reported that sources say he actually lost weight before his arrest, so his slimmer appearance isn’t sudden. Sources close to the situation say Diddy spent a long time at his Miami mansion while the feds were investigating him, during which he started a physical and mental health program to stay in shape before his legal battle.

It’s unclear exactly how much weight he lost during that time, but it was several months after his homes were raided before he was indicted and arrested in New York.

After his court hearing on October 10, Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said that one of his biggest struggles in jail is probably the food. He told People magazine, “I think the food’s probably the roughest part of it.” Last week, Diddy got an emotional visit from his mother and twin daughters. His mother and some of his children were also in court this week to support him. A courtroom sketch even shows his mother, Janice Combs, blowing kisses to him while he smiled back from behind chains.
