All 23 towns and cities in UK that have been named on Russia’s ‘target list’ amid World War 3 fears

A list of 23 UK towns and cities on a Russian ‘target list’ has been released amid growing concerns about World War 3.

As peace talks move forward on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, tensions with Putin continue to remain high.

A former Russian deputy prime minister has released a list of 23 towns and cities across the UK, which would be high on the list of priority targets for long range strikes in the event that Russia went to war with the UK.

While both sides, but Russia in particular, have employed ‘meat grinder’ tactics on the battlefield in Ukraine, Russia has continued to pound strategic targets in Ukraine with long range missiles and air strikes, as well as terrorizing the population with strikes on urban areas.

The list gives an indication of sites connected to UK defence, which would be likely to be targeted by Russia in this way.

These are mostly home to significant suppliers of weapons and other military equipment, and are spread across the UK.

If you thought that being outside a major city would protect you, sadly, this is not the case if you happen to live close to a military base.

It came as former UK defence secretary Ben Wallace posted a map detailing a strategy to make Crimea ‘uninhabitable’ for Russia, saying: “Ukraine does not need to invade the peninsula (which I concede would be incredibly difficult if not impossible) but they should choke it to death.”

Dmitry Rogozin, a former Russian deputy prime minster, responded by posting a map of sites in the UK.

He wrote: “What a sober minister has in mind, a former one has on his tongue. However, it is even good that they reveal their true intentions,” adding: “It is useful to read this for those of us who still consider peace with imperialist aggressors possible. And my advice to our [Russian] oligarchs: do not send your children to study in England! It is deadly dangerous.”

The UK is a member of NATO, meaning that it could be drawn into a direct war with Russia if Russia were to attack another NATO country.

Towns and cities high on Russia’s target list:

Glasgow – BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Thales

Belfast – Harland & Wolff, Spirit Aerosystems, Thales
