Morgan Freeman Reacts to Diane Keaton Calling Him Her ‘Favorite Onscreen Kiss of All Time’

Morgan Freeman is gushing after discovering that Diane Keaton called him her “favorite onscreen kiss of all time.”

While promoting his upcoming film Now You See Me: Now You Don’t on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday, Oct. 30, the actor, 88, also discussed starring alongside Keaton in 5 Flights Up. He played the long-time husband of the late actress in the 2014 drama.

Host Jimmy Kimmel asked Freeman if he was aware that Keaton once described him as her “favorite onscreen kiss of all time.”

“She said, ‘his lips were so luscious. You just push your lips up against them and you squeeze in. It felt gooey and good. I like that,’ ” said Kimmel, 57, reading a quote from the late actress.

Freeman looked surprised by the comment, but then revealed his tips for delivering the perfect smooch.

“Well, there are two ways to kiss,” Freeman said as Kimmel begged to be taught. “Pucker or don’t.”

“Understand, if you pucker then you’ve got kind of tight things going on, but if you don’t then you know your lips are naturally soft,” the actor continued, while demonstrating the difference with his mouth.

Kimmel was curious if Freeman had heard any other Hollywood stars praise his kissing skills.

“I haven’t kissed that many,” Freeman replied.

The TV host confessed he was surprised Freeman was Keaton’s favorite onscreen kiss, revealing he had also once locked lips with the actress.

“I’m impressed, I mean, Diane Keaton has kissed a lot of people in movies,” Kimmel said. “She kissed me here on this show, and I guess I was way behind you. I don’t know.”

“I feel like I puckered, and now that you’ve said pucker, I think pucker is such an unattractive word in every way,” he continued. “Why would we do that with our mouths when we kiss?

“When you’re frightened, you pucker. That’s not a good image. That’s not a good visual at all,” Kimmel added. “I’m doing it right now, and it doesn’t feel good.”

“I can see,” Freeman replied as Kimmel chuckled.

The duo’s discussion about Keaton’s favorite onscreen kisser comes almost three weeks after the First Wives Club star died at age 79.

She previously flirted with Freeman on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival while promoting 5 Flights Up, also known as Ruth & Alex.

“Look at him!” she told ET Canada as she grabbed Freeman for a smooch.

“Why don’t you just admit it, just admit that you’d spend 40 years with me in your real life,” Keaton teased her costar. “I would! In a heartbeat,” Freeman replied.
