screams for help after being attacked by man who tried to rape her in empty Paris train carriage – before hero passenger chases him off

This is the horrifying moment a Brazilian woman screamed for help after being attacked by a man who tried to rape her on a train in Paris, before a heroic passenger came to her rescue.

In disturbing footage, a woman can be heard crying loudly as the man accused of attacking her points towards the passenger who came to her aid.

When the train stops, the alleged perpetrator steps off and runs away. The alleged attack happened between Choisy-le-Roi and Villeneuve-le-Roi stations on October 16.

The victim, identified as 26-year-old Brazilian national Jhordana Dias, was reportedly alone in the carriage when the alleged attacker spotted her from the platform and entered as the doors were closing.

He is said to have approached her and launched a violent assault, allegedly slapping, biting, and scratching her while she screamed for help.

The woman said: ‘When the doors dinged to close, the attacker jumped on the train, and then I realised I was alone with him. And that’s when the attacks began.

‘He pulled down my trousers, choked me, and tried to kiss me by force. I didn’t want to kiss him.’

Her brother, Cicero Junior, claimed that his sister fought for her life. He said that when she resisted, the attacker allegedly strangled and tried to rape her.

A woman in a nearby carriage reportedly heard Jhordana’s cries and rushed in.

She confronted the man and began recording him on her phone, prompting him to flee.

Cicero said his sister phoned him straight after the ordeal, and he spoke with the woman who had helped her.

He said he asked her to stay with Jhordana and contact the police.

He later took his sister to a police station to file a report, but the suspect has not yet been identified.

Jhordana had been in France for two months after leaving Brazil to escape alleged domestic abuse from a former partner.

He told CNN Brasil: ‘She left Brazil for peace, and she didn’t have peace here.

‘It’s been very difficult for us, for everyone, for the family, because we want justice.’

He explained that she had travelled to Paris to attend his wedding and hoped to begin a new chapter in her life.

A forensic exam has been scheduled for October 29, but fearing that her cuts and bruises may heal before then, he took her to a doctor so her injuries could be documented.

Cicero said: ‘The police have the videos, the witnesses, everything they need to find him. But so far, he hasn’t been found.’

Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it remains available to offer consular support to Brazilian citizens living in France.
