Andre Beadle’s mother, Everith McCray, told CBS that he loved cars and talked about them every day. “That’s what he did—cars, cars, cars,” she said. She added that she didn’t realize how many friends he had until after his passing, as people have been visiting nonstop. “I can’t bring him back,” she said.

His brother, Alicio Beadle, shared that Andre had been in a bad crash on a race track a few months ago, but safety gear like barriers and a helmet had saved him. He said, “This time, I don’t know… That’s what he really loved, but it’s a tragedy.” He also gave a warning: “Leave the street racing alone. Stick to the track. Be more careful.”

Before the crash, Andre Beadle shared a video on social media showing his BMW being worked on. The last clip showed him driving the car at night near where the crash happened.

On Beadle’s Instagram, a memorial post was made for him, saying, “Driven by passion, fueled by the thrill, may you find the ultimate track among the stars.” The caption also invited people to celebrate his life with balloons, calling him a “young legend and trendsetter.”

In the comments, many people paid tribute to Beadle. One wrote, “Rest in peace Young Legend Street King,” while another said, “You are my idol brother, I wouldn’t be who I am in racing without you.” A third comment read, “You will be missed, the streets will forever remember you.”

The NYPD is still investigating the crash.
